HAMMERTIME had a different opinion and he was quite confident too. Let's take a look o­n his tips............

Tomorrow there is a great game between USA and HELLAS but in my opinion the handicap and money line are completely wrong! Trully i cannot understand what the world community is thinking and is betting o­n these odds.

Maybe is the heavy name of the ex-Dream Team which led the bookmakers to offer US money line from 1,10 to 1,17 but if someone checks the way the two teams perform, he wouldn't be comfortable to bet o­n USA.

USA is a team with great individuals who are playing in a completely different basketball world than their european counterparts. They prefer to win their game through their fast pace, their high scoring abilities and their steals. They try to "bring" their opponents into their fast pace and we saw that many times in their WC matches. But we also saw, that when the game doesn't have a fast pace, they have great problems. In their game against ITALY, they won the game due to ITALY's failure to capitalize o­n their advantage and o­n the quarter final vs GERMANY, they won the game due to the fact that the Germans arenot a team at all.

As for the Hellenic team, i wrote my opinion o­n my last tip where i suggested that they will win the Chinese with 20+ points difference. They have very good "units" and are 100% team. They coorporate in an excellent way and have a great defensive play.

So how do i expect the game? All depends o­n the Hellenic side. Yannakis is a great coach and i don't believe that he will be driven into US way of playing. As i said earlier, US will have problems with the European way of basketball and this is where Yannakis will try to beat them. If the Greeks control the pace of the game and drive Americans into the European way. With a Zone Defensive strategy, will block US scoring abilities and will take the lead. Don't forget that the US team is not used trailling at score for more than 1,5 periods and will start losing their psychology. 

Therefore we are talking about a tough game, which will end with a narrow US victory or a great Greek upset. I personally give 52% to US to win the game and 48% to Hellas. As for the handicap (10,5 points) there is a 2% chance for US to beat it and 98% for Hellas to hold it.

It seems that the WORLD HAS GONE MAD and i am ready to take advantage of it and put the following bets:
